PRAXIS GATHERING 2020

gathering of micro-conferences

In John 17, Jesus prays that we (his people) would be one. What would it look like for ordinary people all across this island to be one as we follow Jesus into His mission? What would it look like to collaborate and work alongside one another to serve our communities? What would a gathering of ordinary people in towns and cities across the island with the hope and desire to see Gods kingdom come look like in a time like this?

We believe that, now more than ever, it is significant that what we do – we do together. We are inviting you to participate and collaborate with us in a new Praxis gathering as we reimagine mission together.

The content for this year’s gathering will be delivered online, but in the spirit of the theme, our hope and expectation is that everyone will find a group of people 2-6, to watch, interact, and engage these fresh ideas together. There will be group breakout sessions for discussion, connecting and sharing.

If you want to take part follow these 3 steps:

  • STEP 1: Find a few people to watch with (2-6 people constitutes a group)
  • STEP 2: Give your group a name and then choose a location to watch together (you will need both of these to register)
  • STEP 3: Register by clicking “tickets” and then join as a group member

If you need help finding a Micro Conference group to join, just let us know. The event will be a hybrid of online content, personal reflection time, group discussion in breakout rooms and whole conference interactions. We want this to feel just like a conference, with occasions for prayer, dreaming, thinking, eating together, and sharing our lives all in the context of life changing input.

WHAT IS PRAXIS?

Praxis is a network of individuals and churches with a heart for mission and a hope and commitment to see Gods kingdom come. Our desire is to reimagine mission for ordinary people. Our gathering once a year is a crucial time to be together and to be inspired by the God of mission. The Conference is one way we desire to reimagine mission as well as Prayer Gatherings, Learning Communities, the SEOL Course, a podcast and a press.
